The Skinner Blend technique was created by Judith Skinner for blending two or more overlapped colors by repeatedly rolling through a pasta machine. The key to success with this technique is to choose colors that blend well together. Experiment and Enjoy!

MATERIALS: Bring whatever materials you own. Materials marked with * will be available for purchase at the workshop.

clear roller/ brayer*

needle tool

work surface/glass, plastic or tile*

card stock*

bamboo skewer*

pasta machine

clear plastic wrap

ruler

pin back(s)

super glue*

paper towels

wet/dry sand papers ($5. finishing kit available from teacher)

elastic/ cording for bracelets

Texture plates and tools.

Polymer Clay: 2 oz packages of each: 2 black, 3-4 white, translucent, gold metallic, plus 4-6 colors. (Premo is preferred as base clay.) PC available at WS.

PROJECTS: Pin/ Pendant/ Earrings, Elastic Bracelet, Beads/ Canes, Bowls, Vessels, etc. as requested by students.

Handouts on the techniques will be provided.

Students can bring scrap clay and prepared canes for use in decorating.

You can bring lunch or order out locally.
